Carrie Gravenson, a native New Yorker, hit the comedy scene in 2002 with sketch comedy group Spunk. Since then, she has performed in various comedy troupes, off-Broadway plays, and independent films. She is the winner of the 2009 New York Underground Comedy Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition and a runner up in 2009’s Catch a Rising Star Competition. She currently performs stand-up all over the country and produces “Disruptive Influence,” a monthly comedy showcase in New York City.

Glad you’re doing stand-up. Hmm. Maybe I’ll have to swing by. How’ve you been? I got laid off and looking for a Web design job (know of any?) and I’m having a baby in July. (didn’t see that coming did you?) Got married almost 2 years ago.
Hey what are the chances you have a copy of the Spunk show we did on video? I’d love to have that.

There are WAY too many things going on in those few sentences. Let me take a stab at replying:
I’m fine. I don’t know of any web design jobs. How can you have a baby – you’re a boy. Married? Why was I not invited to the wedding? I personally don’t have a copy of that Spunk show but I’ll see if I can find one. Awesome to hear from you.
